Fundraising Committee 2012
President Francie Porter Snyder created a Fundraising Committee with the following announcement:
The BUUF Board of Directors is seeking 3 to 5 motivated volunteers to serve on a Fundraising Committee that will research and recommend events to generate operating revenue for BUUF. Examples of events may include but are not limited to:
- Concerts
- Speakers/Dinners
- Goods and Services Auctions
- Sales (fair trade coffee and chocolate)
- Raffles
The committee will work with the Board, Dave, and Gretchen to establish realistic fund raising goals. The members will research and recommend events that will assist BUUF in meeting the goals. The committee will not be responsible for the publicity, set up, and/or ticket sales for the events. The Board will seek volunteers from the membership for these duties.
So far Chris Sirotiak and Julie Williams have joined Gretchen and me on the committee and Amy Eklund is serving as our concert specialist with her experience handling the Bob Milne concerts. If anyone else is interested in joining us, please contact any of our members. We plan to meet this summer and have a concert series planned before BUUF returns for the water ceremony in September.
